Cody Rhodes is a popular American professional wrestler, actor, promoter, and businessman. He is most well-known for his time wrestling for the promotions, WWE, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and AEW. In AEW, he has served both as on-air talent and Executive Vice President. He is also well-known for being a member of the legendary faction, Bullet Club. Currently he is a WWE wrestler.

Cody Rhodes, whose full name is Cody Garrett Runnels Rhodes, was born on the 30th of June 1985 in Marietta, Georgia, U.S. to parents, Michelle Rubio and Dusty Rhodes. His father was a legendary wrestler, booker, and trainer. Coming to his siblings, he has two sisters, Kristin Runnels Ditto, Teil Runnels, and a brother, Dustin Rhodes.  Dustin Rhodes is an immensely popular wrestling star as well.

Cody Rhodes studied at the Lassiter High School, which is located in Marietta, Georgia. He had a great wrestling career during his high school days. He was the winner of the Georgia state tournament at 189 lbs. (86 kg) weight class in 2003 when was a junior. He once again won the tournament as a senior at the aforementioned weight class.  Cody then attended an acting school after completing his high school education.

Cody Rhodes began his career in 2006 in Ohio Valley Wrestling as part of the WWE’s developmental territory. He would be there for a year before being moved up to the main roster. In OVW, he would receive training from popular wrestling stars, Al Snow, Danny Davis, Randy Orton, and Ricky Morton. During this time, he became OVW Heavyweight Champion and OVW Television Champion. He was moved up to the main roster on the 2nd of July 2007 episode of Raw where he was featured in a backstage segment with Dusty Rhodes and Randy Orton.  In 2008, he would align himself with Ted DiBiase and Randy Orton thereby forming the faction, The Legacy. The trio would have notable feuds against Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and Batista. After the end of The Legacy, he focused on singles action and became the WWE Intercontinental Champion in 2011. He would be the Intercontinental champion for 233 days before ultimately losing it to Big Show at WrestleMania XXVIII. For the years to follow he only got moderate success at best and in 2016, he left WWE.

For the period between 2016 and 2019, he worked for various promotions including, Ring of Honor, Impact Wrestling, and New Japan Pro-Wrestling. He would become a massive wrestling star during this time and would win various championships in the process. He would become the ROH World Champion, IWGP United States Championship, and ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champion during the period mentioned. One of the best things about this run was that he would become a part of the legendary faction, Bullet Club. Off-screen, he would become great friends with Bullet Club members, The Young Bucks, and Kenny Omega. On the 1st of January 2019, he revealed that he along with his Bullet Club friends, The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega would serve both as on-air talent and Executive Vice Presidents of All Elite Wrestling. He is a two-time AEW TNT Champion.

Apart from wrestling, Cody has been a part of the super-popular superhero TV series, “Arrow”. Cody has guest-starred in two different episodes of the 5th season of “Arrow”. Also, he guest-starred in two episodes of the 7th season as well. Also, Cody has started American Rebel Cigars with fellow AEW wrestler, Frankie Kazarian.
